DPO Lower Chitral Muhammad Khalid Khan Holds Introductory Meeting with Newly Appointed SHOs

Chitral (Chitral Express): In line with special directives from Malakand Regional Police Officer Zahid Nawaz, an important introductory meeting was held at the DPO Office in Balach under the chairmanship of Lower Chitral District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Khalid Khan. Newly appointed station house officers (SHOs) from various police stations attended.

The newly appointed SHOs of Arkari, Shoghore, Koghuzi and Rumbur police stations took part. They discussed the overall law-and-order situation in the area, eliminating drugs, preventing crime and traffic issues.

Giving clear instructions to the new SHOs, the Lower Chitral DPO said:

• Eliminating drugs: Carry out effective action without discrimination against drug dealers and the Saqi gang in their respective areas.
• Combating crime: Use all available resources to eliminate criminal elements and ensure lasting peace.
• Improving traffic: Enforce traffic laws strictly, with particular attention to preventing underage motorcyclists and taking concrete steps to protect citizens’ lives and property.

He further said that police officers should treat the public with courtesy, respect and a sense of responsibility. Complaints from people visiting police stations should be resolved without delay and strictly on merit so that “people-friendly policing” can genuinely be promoted.

DPO Muhammad Khalid Khan stressed that all SHOs must perform their professional duties with complete honesty, dedication to duty and transparency, so lasting peace can be established in the area and public confidence in the police further strengthened.
