Ceremony Held at Government Darul Uloom Chitral on Kashmir Black Day

CHITRAL (Chitral Express), 27 October 2026: A ceremony was held at Government Darul Uloom Chitral (Shahi Mosque) on Kashmir Black Day to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir, strongly condemn India’s occupation, and support their right to self-determination. The event was held under the patronage of the institution’s president and khatib of Shahi Mosque Chitral, Hazrat Maulana Khaliq-uz-Zaman. Hadith teacher Hazrat Maulana Fazal Haq conducted the proceedings.

The ceremony formally began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Afterwards, Darul Uloom students presented a devotional naat in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They also recited patriotic and poignant poems about Kashmir, expressing deep attachment and solidarity with their oppressed Kashmiri brothers, which stirred the attendees.

The chief guest was District Khatib of Chitral, Hazrat Maulana Fazl Maula. In his presidential and keynote address, he spoke about the historical and religious importance of the Kashmir issue. He strongly condemned what he described as India’s usurping and unlawful occupation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and stressed that the people of Kashmir should have the right to live and decide their future in accordance with United Nations-approved resolutions and their own aspirations. He said supporting oppressed Kashmiris and raising a voice for their legitimate rights is a religious, national and human responsibility for everyone. He urged the international community to take notice of the abuses suffered by Kashmiris and play an effective role in a fair resolution of this longstanding issue.

At the end of the ceremony, institution president Hazrat Maulana Khaliq-uz-Zaman thanked the guest and attendees. He urged them to value the great blessing of freedom and remain sincere to their homeland, Pakistan. Paying tribute to the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir, he reaffirmed that the students and teachers of Government Darul Uloom Chitral would continue to support the Kashmiri people’s freedom struggle and highlight the Kashmir issue with full commitment.

At the conclusion, special prayers were offered for the freedom and security of the people of Kashmir and for Pakistan’s progress and stability.
