Chitral Express: Acting on special directions from Malakand Regional Police Officer Zahid Nawaz, Lower Chitral District Police Officer Muhammad Khalid Khan has entrusted young, capable officers with key police-station commands as part of efforts to promote modern and effective policing.
According to the police spokesperson, the new appointments are:
- Sub-Inspector Syed Ali Raza Shah as Station House Officer (SHO) of Arkaray Police Station;
- Sub-Inspector Saifuddin as SHO of Rumbur Police Station;
- Sub-Inspector Didar Ali Shah as SHO of Shughur Police Station; and
- Sub-Inspector Abdullah as SHO of Koghuzi Police Station.
The appointments of these highly educated and committed officers are intended to promote modern policing, a sense of duty, and public service. The new leadership is expected to play a key role in maintaining law and order in its respective areas, countering drugs, taking firm action against criminal elements, and resolving public concerns promptly.
The District Police Officer instructed the newly appointed officers to make the rule of law, redress for the oppressed, and public-friendly policing their top priorities. He called for respectful treatment of residents and for bridging the gap between the police and the public, in pursuit of a peaceful and secure Lower Chitral.
